Police: thefts at Maplewood Commons, Deer Creek Center

The following information was reported by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Feb. 9

  • An adult female suspect was arrested for stealing approximately $20 worth of men’s briefs from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police began an investigation into fraud that occurred at a business in the 3200 block of Laclede Station Road. The suspect has yet to be identified. This case is ongoing.

Tuesday, Feb. 10

  • An adult male suspect was arrested for stealing about $160 worth of clothing  from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police began an investigation into the theft of a black Levono X231T laptop valued at $2400 from a vehicle in the 7200 block of Gayola Place. This investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, Feb. 14

  • Police saw a woman at the intersection of Corcoran Drive at Maplewood Commons who appeared to be in distress. Upon contact, police learned that she was trying to catch the bus when she slipped on the ice. Abbott EMS later arrived on scene and treated her for her injuries.
