Qdoba Mexican Grill is in the process of remodeling the former St. Louis Bread Company site, at 6701 Clayton Road, in Clayton.
Qdoba has filed an application with Clayton’s Planning & Development office to remodel the site and add a restaurant, the St. Louis Business Journal has reported.
The two storefronts to the east will be demolished to make way for a patio and parking.
St. Louis Bread Company relocated across Clayton Road to 6734 Clayton Road in Richmond Heights last year.
Proposed for the new Qdoba:
- A 3,605-square-foot restaurant with seating for about 65
- 1,360 square foot patio to seat about 44 people
- Remodel the seating and decor left from St. Louis Bread Co., in part by installing furniture made from reclaimed wood

nextSTL.com (@nextSTL on Twitter) believes replacing three storefronts with one Qdoba isn’t a good idea:

Qdoba is awesome because its like Chipotle but won’t get you sick!
MORE CHAINS!
Any additional parking added?
From the pictures, they torn down the Custom Brew Haus and Office next door, which one would assume will be to increase the parking.
