On Saturday, April 16, Maplewood’s Planet Score Records will celebrate Record Store Day, an annual, nationwide celebration of independent record stores, with DJs, doughnuts and special releases.
Stulce said four DJs, including KDHX host Jeff Hess, will spin records all day — some on rare 45s — including old school hip-hop, blues, rockabilly and rock-n-roll. He said their friends from Vincent Van Doughnut bring doughnuts to share too.
Planet Score Records (7421 Manchester Road) opened in October 2015. The hours on April 16 are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Find out more about Record Store Day.
Also this month, Independent Bookstore Day at The Book House on April 30th.
