Residents in Brentwood, Richmond Heights and Maplewood all took part in the St. Louis Regional Night Out Against Crime block parties, blocking off streets and picnicking with their neighbors.
Maplewood partiers enjoyed burgers and hotdogs with condiments courtesy of the police department. They also received T-shirts for the event designed by 10-year-old 10-year-old Stella Sullivan. Richmond Heights residents were given a bag of Richmond Heights swag, City Manager Amy Hamilton said on Monday.
According to Maplewood Police 24 streets hosted block parties attended by approximately 1,100 residents.
Maplewood Police officers and the pumper truck made the rounds. Photos of the block parties in Maplewood, below, are via Maplewood Missouri Police Department, unless noted.

Many thanks to the tireless efforts of Maplewood Police Sgt Mike Martin who organizes the Maplewood Block Parties every year. Much work goes on behind the scenes to make 24 individual events come off without a hitch. The 2-3 hour events have been in preparation since July.
Wonderful! Our block regulars!! ❣️
