Richmond Heights City Manager Amy Hamilton’s employment contract with the city was extended for two years, according to Mayor Jim Thomson on Wednesday.

Thomson said the city council approved the extension in a closed session following Monday’s city council meeting.

He said Hamilton got the same raise as other city workers — “about three and a half percent.”

In May Hamilton received the Jay T. Bell Award, given to one city manager in the state of Missouri each year by the Missouri City/County Management Association. The award recognizes high standards of accomplishment, professionalism and ethical conduct.
