Richmond Heights Fire Chief Kerry Hogan has retired after 38 years of service, the department reported Friday on Facebook. The crew took him home in the pumper truck for his final day.
“An amazing man and an amazing fire chief. Chief Hogan, you will be missed. Cheers to you Chief Hogan on your well deserved retirement. We thank you for your service,” the department said.
The fire department also announced that Steve Carman was appointed on Friday from Battalion Chief to Interim Chief. Carman has been with the Richmond Heights Fire Department for 27 years.
The department said: “Steve will do an excellent job and the rest of the department looks forward to many more years with Steve. Congratulations Steve Carman!”
