In the busy season for the US Postal Service, the Richmond Heights office is operating out of a temporary building just west of The Heights, on Dale Avenue, with one employee at the window.
A spokesperson for the postal service told Fox 2 that the Richmond Heights temporary location normally has two employees, but are now short-staffed as the others accepted positions at another location.
That was the case Thursday afternoon, with a lineup filling the small lobby. A Richmond Heights employee, by phone, suggested going to the Maplewood post office instead.
The official Richmond Heights post office, on Big Bend Boulevard, is under renovation and is currently gutted.
