Richmond Heights Police reported on Facebook that at 2:30 p.m. on Friday Richmond Heights officers responded to the Galleria Shopping mall for a call of a shot fired in the parking lot.
The department’s preliminary investigation revealed that Nordstrom loss prevention employees had been watching three men they suspected of shoplifting. The suspects left the store and were walking to their vehicle when a silver vehicle, occupied by one man, pulled up and shot at them twice.
The car left the area as the suspects entered their vehicle and left the area as well. It does not appear that any of the shoplifting suspects had been shot. Police are investigating.
