Carolyn Wilson, owner of Time for Dinner, in the 8500 block of Manchester Road, in Brentwood, was the victim of a smash-and-grab early Wednesday morning. Wilson said they tried to break into the cash register but failed.
Wilson said she has a motion-detecting alarm, which didn’t go off, and she is wondering why.
She also said AAMCO auto service, next door, has surveillance cameras on the parking lot. She’s hoping the camera will show a license plate or something else helpful to police. Wilson said this was the second smash-and-grab at her business.
Also in Brentwood, just west of Hanley Road on Manchester Road, the Joy Luck restaurant was broken into around 8 a.m. It was not known if anything was taken, according to KMOV.
The St. Louis Wing Co., in Rock Hill, was hit with a smash-and-grab earlier the same morning, according to KMOV.
A man threw a brick through the door, kicked out the glass, then went in and grabbed the cash register. Police don’t know yet if the incidents are related. Read about this break-in at KMOV.
