The 1890 Marketplace, which opened in May at 8711 Manchester Road in Brentwood, offers ‘ultra-premium’ olive oil and spices.
An employee there said the olive oil meets higher standards than the USDA standards. The store also offers a variety of flavored olive oil, made from the ultra-premium, including butter flavored and the most popular — garlic flavored.
They also offer more than 80 spices from different countries. The house blend is the most popular, according to the employee, who said she uses it in her fried rice.
The original 1890 is a restaurant and market place in Granbury, Texas.
