St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Bill McClellan, writes about excuses for minor charges, and touches on Maplewood, recently and long ago.
In the column, McClellan writes about his wife being pulled over in Maplewood for expired plates (driving their daughter’s car). He says he likes Maplewood because once, several years ago, he wrote about a custody dispute over a dog. The boyfriend was an overnight cook at Tiffany’s Diner and had some pull — all the cops knew him. McClellan said he likes a town where a cook is a man of influence.
He also writes about returning library books that were 37 years overdue. Read Bill McClellan’s full column.
