Maplewood Police report that in the early morning hours of Dec. 10, they received a call for a stealing in progress from a vehicle in the 7400 block of Richmond Place.
Police canvassed the area and found a 22-year-old man hiding in some bushes in the 7400 block of Gayola Place. He had loose change and other miscellaneous property taken from vehicles. Police also found that the suspect entered multiple vehicles in the 7200 and 7300 block of Gayola as well as the 7400 block of Richmond.
Police are also looking into vehicle break-ins, regarding the same suspect, in the 2500 block of Bredell Avenue, the 7600 block of Jerome Avenue and the 7700 block of Weaver Avenue, which occurred in the same time frame.
