The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney has charged Uriyah Reed, 31, of the 5700 block of Riverview Boulevard with 2nd degree assault—a class C felony—and 1st class property damage in the attack of a Metro Transit bus driver in Maplewood on May 5.
Reed is accused of hitting the driver, Rodney Moore, Sr. multiple times in the head and upper body.
The attack caused ruptured vessels in one of Moore’s eyes, a broken cheek bone and a cut on his upper lip that required stitches.
Moore lost control of the bus, which crashed into a Metro Transit bus stop shelter, causing more than $750 in damage.
Reed was held on a $25,000 cash-only bail.
