Two men stole dealers license plates from Brentwood Volvo, in Maplewood Monday night, and one told an employee exactly what they were doing, according to Fox 2 News.
The employee saw a man stealing a dealership plate. “He proceeds to tell him exactly what he’s doing. ‘I’m stealing a license plate,’” Maplewood Police Detective Michael Gilb told Fox 2.
Investigators with the Maplewood Police Department believe the men cut wires that led to surveillance cameras days earlier.
When the employee approached a second suspect, he lifted his shirt, implying he was carrying a weapon. The men fled in a 2008 to 2010 silver Chrysler 300. The employee was not injured.
The stolen plates have been entered in the law enforcement database. If an officer comes across the plates they will register as stolen, Gilb said.

Since the dealership is called “Dean Team Volvo of Brentwood”, let the Brentwood police investigate.
