Restaurant ownership changes, before it opens

When Maplewood City Council approved the permit for Thai Table in October 2017, it was for Nathinee Hughes, and Somying Fox, owner of Basil Spice Thai. Since then Somying Fox has left the start-up to open a different restaurant in the Central West End.

Fox has said she found a “better location” in the CWE closer to her home. She said it’s already open, and called My Thai.

Someone helping Natthinee Hughes with the build out for Thai Table in Maplewood, Patrick Gerau, said she bought out Somying Fox’s ownership months ago and is now the 100 percent owner.

Gerau said Somying leaving Thai Table has had nothing to do with Natthinee opening Thai Table and the build out has been delayed because they had to wait for a plumbing permit from St. Louis County.

He said they are hoping to be open by mid-September.
