Police reported thefts in Brentwood and Maplewood end of last year. The suspects were charged recently.
Andrew Jamal Frye, 27, of St. Louis, on Oct. 17 stole the keys to a 2014 Ford Fusion from an unlocked locker at Club Fitness in Brentwood and used them to steal a wallet with three credit cards from the car. He used one of the cards to make purchases at Saint Louis Galleria totaling $1,770. A witness from Club Fitness told Brentwood police he saw Frye in the locker room pacing back and forth near the lockers. Frye was identified as a suspect in similar thefts in other jurisdictions. It was his fourth stealing count since 2012.
Myzeaza Johnson, 27, of St. Louis, on Dec. 22. while an employee of the Maplewood Walmart, was caught on surveillance video taking $1,150 from her register and putting it in her pocket. She confessed the theft to her employers and to Maplewood police.
