A water main break in downtown Maplewood early Tuesday afternoon flooded the 7300 block of Manchester Road and shut off water to a string of restaurants and bars on the block.

Missouri American Water arrived more than an hour after the break, a Maplewood public works employee said. The water company employees said the break was “routine” and they’d have it fixed in two or three hours.

Boogaloo and The Crow’s Nest closed for the night, according to posts on Facebook.

Las Palmas stayed open — using saved water, they said. Jimmy John’s and The Post never lost water service, which is good for The Post, since Tuesday night is the first night of the World Series, opening night for the NBA, and the Blues play as well.
