Maplewood Police reported Thursday afternoon that high winds had downed trees and power lines Thursday in Maplewood, at Sarah at Limit and Elm at Arbor.
Police reported the streets will be closed until Ameren crews can untangle the power lines from the trees. After everything has been deemed safe by them, Maplewood Public Works can begin their work.
Amazingly, no one was injured by the tree which fell across Limit. Hope the same for Elm.
That’s why people shouldn’t let ivy overtake their trees. That tree has had branches fall before. It was a safety risk.
