Woman assaulted on Manchester, police say

Tuesday, Oct. 8

  • A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a Maplewood Commons business. She was additionally charged with giving false information to an officer after lying about her name at the time of her arrest.

Wednesday, Oct. 9

  • A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Officers went to the 2200 block of Yale Avenue for a reported disturbance. They found a 58-year-old man and 47-year-old woman arguing about their relationship. No arrests were made and the woman voluntarily left the residence.

Thursday, Oct. 10

  • A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Officers went to the 7700 block of Williams Court for a burglary in progress. They met with the man who reported it who said the alarm company had contacted him about an alarm at the residence, so he went to the house. When he went in,  he saw a man, who then ran out the back door.  Officers searched the area, but were unable to find the man.

Friday, Oct. 11

  • A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a female in the 7900 block of Manchester. The man was additionally charged with a drug violation after officers found him to be in possession of a controlled substance.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a Maplewood Commons business.

Saturday, Oct. 12

  • A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a Maplewood Commons business.

Sunday, Oct. 13

  • Damage to a vehicle was reported in the 2200 block of Blendon. Someone had put two road barriers on the roof of the victim’s vehicle.
  • A swimming pool pump was reported stolen from the backyard of a house in the 7300 block of Flora.
