A woman was robbed as she was unloading groceries on the Brentwood Promenade parking lot Wednesday, KMOV reported.
The woman left her purse out as she was loading groceries into her car, according to police. Two men grabbed her purse and started to drive away. The woman tried to take the purse back and was knocked down. The suspects then drove off.

Brentwood Chief of Police Dan Fitzgerald said Thursday morning that this is an active investigation and he will send more information when it’s available. He also emphasized that this was not a “carjacking” – a word used in the KMOV report.
