According to court and police reports, defendants have been charged in Richmond Heights, Maplewood and Brentwood for theft and heroin possession.
Kevin Shelton, 25, of St. Louis, on Jan. 1, 2017, selected items of Polo clothing, took them to a fitting room, hid it all in two bags then walked out of the store without paying. He was stopped outside the store and the stolen property was recovered. It was valued at $965.
Tamara Nunn, 42, of St. Louis, and Latvia Smith, 27, of Florissant, on Jan. 2, 2017, selected a large amount of clothing Macy’s and carried it out of the store without making an attempt to pay. They were stopped and the clothing was recovered. The value of the stolen property was $2,406.
Cynthia Liggins, 64, of St. Louis, on Oct. 18, 2016, was arrested in connection with a report of stealing at Walmart. At the time of her arrest she had several small white rocks, which she said was her “medicine.” Lab analysis confirmed it to be 0.019 grams of heroin.
Dwight Johnson, 30, of St. Louis, on May 15, 2016, pawned a handgun at a pawn shop in north St. Louis county that was stolen from a car parked on the Target lot. He was arrested several months later and admitted he had sold the gun. He received $50 for selling it to the pawn shop.
