Boardwalk Waffles & Ice Cream is planning a move to a high-profile space in Maplewood, but one that has seen some turnover in past years.
The waffle and ice cream shop plans to move from 7326B Manchester Road, where it opened in early 2017, to 7376 Manchester Road, the corner of Manchester and Sutton, an employee said. The most recent tenant there was The Live Juke Joint Dueling Piano Bar, which closed in 2017. Clementine’s Naughty & Nice Creamery tried unsuccessfully to sign a lease for the spot, but that fell through in September.
The new buildout — in the space much larger than its current location — will begin in November, according to the employee.
