When most gardeners think of a biodiverse garden, their thoughts tend toward a garden teeming with birds, butterflies, beneficial insects, & other wildlife. This talk discusses several ways you can increase wildlife in your garden & thereby increase its biodiversity.
There are ideas included on how to add to the genetic diversity of the plants in your garden. By creating a biodiverse garden, you are adding to its beauty as well as helping to heal the planet & to preserve it for future generations. Presented by Carol Gravens, a St. Louis Advanced Level Master Gardener. Carol gives talks & classes on orchids to various groups in the community & at Missouri Botanical Garden as part of the Master Gardener Speakers’ Bureau, as well as other classes on a variety of topics related to plants.
