The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 28

  • A 44-year-old man and a 46-year-old man were charged with fighting, which occurred in the 7400 block of Manchester.
  • A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. He was also charged with giving false information to an officer for lying about his name at the time of the arrest.
  • A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Wednesday, Jan. 29

  • A 20-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of stealing approximately $300 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police are investigating a delayed theft at a Maplewood Commons business which was reported on Jan. 29. Two men and a woman stole approximately $1,200 in merchandise from the business on Jan. 25. Police are reviewing the video surveillance in an attempt to identify the suspects.
  • A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing approximately $190 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia which was discovered at the time of the arrest.
  • Police responded to the 3700 block of Cambridge Avenue for a reported disturbance.  An investigation revealed a man and woman acquaintance had been arguing. The man subject left the residence on his own accord. No arrests were made.
