A sub shop and and an urgent care storefront are coming to Richmond Heights.
Penn Station East Coast Subs
Penn Station East Coast Subs is opening a restaurant in Richmond Heights, according to a release — aiming for August 10. The restaurant will be located at 1774 South Hanley Road. It’s next to Pie Five Pizza, which opened in July.
Penn Station features grilled sub sandwiches and cold deli sandwiches made to order. The menu also includes ‘fresh-cut’ fries, ‘hand-squeezed‘ lemonade and chocolate chunk cookies. Penn Station offers eat-in dining, carry out and catering.
The Richmond Heights restaurant will be owned by Jeff Robinson and managing owner Cory Brown, who also own Penn Stations in Fenton, Arnold, South Lindbergh, Webster Groves and Hampton.
Our Urgent Care
Our Urgent Care was founded in 2006 by a group of five local emergency room physicians in response to the community’s need for quality, convenient, affordable after hour’s urgent medical care, according to their website. It will be the fifth Our Urgent Care location.
The location is next to the new New Balance store location, at 1201 S. Big Bend Boulevard (not yet open), which is next to the new Richmond Heights Post Office.

There is a Penn Station in Rock Hill on Manchester. It’s also competing with Subway in WalMart, Subway in Rock Hill and in downtown Maplewood, Lion’s Choice across the street, Lion’s Choice in Rock Hill, Arby’s in Brentwood. And that’s just sandwich shops. Then there’s McDonald’s, Burger King, etc.
