Rachelle L’Ecuyer, who resigned as the Maplewood community development director last month, is the new (and first) executive director of the Delmar Loop, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported on Wednesday.
L’Ecuyer joined Maplewood in 2005. She was responsible for establishing the events: Let Them Eat Art, Women Making History, The Sweet Tooth Tour, The Maplewood Coffee Crawl and Stringfest (formerly the Harp Attack and Fiddlefest).
Her appointment in University City is effective Aug. 13, Joe Edwards, chairman of the East Loop CID and The Delmar Loop small business district said in press release.

Way to go, Rachelle! Can’t wait to see what interesting ideas you’ll have for the Delmar Loop in my second favorite inner ring suburb.
Congratulations Rachelle!
Maplewood’s loss is The Loop’s gain.
We’re sorry to see you go.
