Food blogger and Maplewood resident, Stephanie Shepard, recently focused on Maplewood’s Side Project Cellar, the beer tasting room at 7373 Marietta Avenue that opened in November 2014. Shepard’s blog is called Off the Eaten Path.
In her short post, which includes photos, she said there is a lengthy beer menu, which also includes whiskey, wine and cider. She and two friends went there at around 7 p.m. on a Friday night.
Shepard had one beer: the Side Project Saison du Ble Blend #3. She said the menu describes it as “blend of wine barrel aged and foedre aged Missouri wheat Saison.”
She calls it “slightly tart,” with “a crisp, clean, refreshing finish. It was delicious!” She said she was very impressed and can’t wait to come back.
