Demolition of the Executive Walk Apartments, at Brentshire Walk, is underway. The project includes five, two-story buildings with basements.
The city approved the demolition in May for a cost of $233,600. Asbestos was found in the buildings after a demolition contract was accepted, requiring city staff to rebid the project for both asbestos abatement and demolition.
The site will be seeded for grass when demolition is completed. It’s scheduled to take two months, depending on the weather.
Interesting that someone, assuming the editor, had the comments made here yesterday removed! Both were appropriate. I guess even this publication is biased towards Brentwood. Too bad, I really liked this site and thought it would be “fair” until selective journalism took place by removing the comments. I will be deleting site from my devices.
Greg, I did not remove any comments. In my opinion it’s bad journalism and bad business to edit comments based on content. I thought maybe my auto spam catcher did it, but all I saw in there was obvious marketing spam—nothing related to the article. I’m very sorry, and I’d appreciate it if you’d let me know if it happens again. Doug Miner, editor
