With the resignation of Shana Jones from the Maplewood City Council last September, a special election will be held on February 7 to elect a replacement for the Ward 1 seat.
Matt Coriell, Jones’ opponent in the April 2022 regular election, will be running unopposed.
Most of Ward 1 is the part of Maplewood that’s west of Big Bend Boulevard. See the city ward map here.
