The Maplewood Aldi (7725 Manchester Road) is set to reopen on Nov. 1, according to a press release.
Higher ceilings, improved lighting and environmentally friendly building materials, such as recycled materials and energy-saving refrigeration and light bulbs are planned for the reopened store.
The Maplewood location is one of three in the area undergoing renovations. The others are in Collinsville, IL, and St. Peters, MO.
The renovated stores will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Division vice president, Rob Jeffries states in the press release, “As important as price is, there’s only one way to attract and keep shoppers: You have to have quality products.”
Before the store closed on Oct. 1, a checker said she hoped specials aren’t offered for the reopening because the store will be busy enough without them. She said some people shop there everyday.
Another checker said one aisle and new products would be added.
