Studio:art co-op, a space for artists to work and sell their work, at 7403 Manchester Road, is still looking for more artists, as the interior nears completion.
Kayla Alfonso, a potter, will manage the studio.
She said by email on Sunday that the studio should be ready for a few artists to move in during the next two weeks or so, also, studios are still available for rent. Email [email protected] for more information. See Studio:art co-op on Facebook.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for November 17 at 5 p.m. The studio will also take part in Maplewood’s Small Business Saturday event on Saturday, Nov. 28, and the Christmas Tree Walk on Dec. 4.
Alfonso said some of the artists will participate in the Eureka High School Craft Fair on November 7 and the Lindbergh High School Craft Fair on November 21-22.
The business is leasing half of what was once Aikido Martial Arts. The other half will be Escape from St. Louis.
My Happy Place, a gift shop, opened recently at 7405 Manchester Road, and Planet Score Records opened last week at 7421 Manchester Road.
