Maplewood woman, Barbara Johnson, has been reported missing since May 15. Her son and grandsons have searcher for her door to door, KSDK reported last week.
A man in an apartment south of the Schlafly Bottleworks emails 40 South frequently about how worried and sad he is that she’s missing.
Another told a story about how back when Claire McCaskill was running for senate and she had an event at the Monarch restaurant — then at 7401 Manchester Road — Barbara Johnson grabbed McCaskill and told her she needed to meet some women down the street. At the time there was a women’s shelter in the 7300 block of Marietta Avenue.

This morning as woman was pistol whipped and beaten in the parking garage behind Houlihans on Hanley. Police chased and arrested three juveniles behind the Home Depot after a homeless man spotted the perps fleeing. Wouldn’t be surprised if this poor woman suffered a similar fate at the hands of young thugs that come here on the MetroLink….
