Bellevue to remain open during MSD work

The Metropolitan Sewer District will soon finish burying 6-foot diameter pipe from McCausland to Bellevue avenues, though the job needs additional work by St. Louis city before the road can reopen, MSD spokesperson Sean Hadley said Thursday.

He said when MSD is off Southwest — turning north onto Bellevue Avenue — there will still be asphalt work to be done on Southwest, which is the city’s responsibility, and it won’t open until that happens.

The pipe MSD will lay on Bellevue is smaller than the 6-foot diameter pipe on Southwest, also crews will split up to work in different sections, so the road will remain mostly open, Hadley said. MSD will lay the pipe on Bellevue from Southwest to Bruno.
