To begin the process, the library is asking users to answer questions about their vision for the library’s future with a one-word answer. Complete one by Oct. 15 to be in a drawing for a Kindle Fire

The following is a statement from the library trustees about forming a vision for the library’s future.

The trustees of the Brentwood Public Library have contracted with H3 Studio to help facilitate a strategic plan that will define a vision for the library. The process will set goals for our institution to strive toward and strategies that will help us best serve the Brentwood community well into the future.

We are beginning the process now, and over the next few months we expect to conduct a public forum, community survey and discussions with a variety of stakeholders in Brentwood. This engagement will help the library determine the needs and desires of the community, while also helping our board to determine the best role for the institution in the community.

This planning process will consider all aspects of the library’s future growth including staffing, programming, services, technology, funding and facilities. Conversations with residents will be a vital component of the process, for the library is the community’s heart. We look forward to the dialogue and are excited about the future of the Brentwood Public Library!
