Brentwood resident Brandon Jones protested against the city outsourcing its police and fire dispatch services to the East Central Dispatch Services in front of city hall Monday morning. He said he’s concerned about increased response times for emergencies if it happened.

The Brentwood Board of Aldermen will discuss the Brentwood dispatchers contract in a closed meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m., according to an agenda. Update: the council met but didn’t vote on the proposal.

An anonymous source talked to 40 South News in detail about the Brentwood dispatchers’ side last week.

  1. It seems to me that if my fellow Brentwood residents want to save Brentwood some money, by having some Brentwood employes fired: Those same residents shouldn’t mind if other employes get fired. I am VERY PLEASED with the current dispatchers and want to see them kept on. But I wasn’t one of those people who transpired to get other employes fired or discredited.
