Brentwood senior, Joshua Moreno, 18, of the 2100 block of Parkridge Avenue, was charged Friday with unlawful use of a weapon.
Moreno was returning to Brentwood on a bus on Feb. 6, following a basketball game. Teammates saw him with the loaded, long-barreled revolver, STL Today reported. Fox2 reports Moreno was arrested after returning to school after the game.
In Missouri, it is a crime to bring a firearm, loaded or unloaded, onto a school bus.
A letter went to parents on Thursday, after school officials learned of the incident, and reported it to Brentwood Police on Wednesday.
