Car scratched at MRH; sisters fight, one arrested: police

Tuesday, May 19

  • Police arrested a 47-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman for stealing approximately $185 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Thursday, May 21

  • Police are investigating a property damage that occurred at the Maplewood Richmond Heights High School on May 21. The victim told police that she had parked her vehicle in the school parking lot at approximately 8 a.m. and later discovered a two inch long scratch on the front passenger side door.
  • Police are investigating a felony stealing from a Maplewood Commons business that occurred on May 21. The suspect, who has been identified, stole approximately $550 worth of DeWalt tools.

Friday, May 22

  • Police were dispatched to the intersection of Elm and Walter for a fight in progress. When they arrived, police learned that the subjects fighting were sisters. It was determined that one of the sisters was the aggressor and the other was defending herself. One sibling was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault 3rd.

Saturday, May 23

  • Police arrested a 56-year-old man for stealing approximately $100 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Monday, May 25

  • Police are investigating a motor theft that occurred on May 25 from the 2100 block of Yale. The vehicle is described as 2006 silver Jeep Commander.  UPDATE: The stolen vehicle was recovered by the Normandy Police Department on May 27 as a result of a traffic stop.
