What was previously Mi Linh (Vietnamese dishes) for a short time, and China Inn for decades before that, is now Red Lotus Spa & Bistro (9737 Manchester Road), which is trying out a new concept for the area—a nail salon/restaurant combination.
Red Lotus owner, Dee Dee Tran, who was a partner in Mi Linh with her brother Nelson Tran, has streamlined the menu and turned a third of the space into a nail salon, according to St. Louis Magazine.
Going in the front, head left to the restaurant and bar, or right for a meal along with a manicure/pedicure.
While getting a pedicure—and your hands are free—Tran recommends a noodle salad of vermicelli, sliced crispy egg roll, grilled pork and shrimp, fried onions, sautéed green onions, roasted peanuts, pickled carrots and daikons, and shredded lettuce, St. Louis Magazine reports.

I’ve never had my nails or toes done and probably never will. But I will eat some Bahn Mi and some pho. They were excellent before they closed. I will give em a try.
and let’s be honest- you’re either a restaurant or a nail salon- you’re not going to be good at both..
I agree, how would the health department agree? The smells from the nail salon would overcome the scent of the food.
