John Fedele has been rehabbing the space for several months and was there on Monday cleaning construction dust off furniture.

“I love the area,” Fedele said. “It has a cool vibe to it. There’s a lot of creative firms, cool bars, cool night life. We feel really lucky to be part of the rebuild of the area.”

Fedele said his studio specializes in shooting TV commercials and ad campaigns. His clients are in St. Louis and nationwide.

Five employees work out of the studio now and Fedele hopes to add more. He said they’ll move in soon, with an open house in July. He plans to let people in for a look during Let Them Eat Art, on July 11.

Fedele said Maplewood city has been easy to work with. “Whatever we need, they’re there for us. Communication has been really great with them,” he said.

He also said he plans on joining the chamber of commerce. “We’re planning on being involved in the community and helping out as much as we can—not just having a space here.”
