Dale Avenue, in Richmond Heights, will be more pedestrian-friendly sometime around the end of the year.
The trade-off for those who drive the road in the meantime is a stop sign at more intersections. Richmond Heights Public Relations Coordinator Haley Kappes said the extra (temporary) stop signs are for the safety of the workers.
Kappes said the Dale Avenue streetscape project will include a bike lane, wider sidewalks, pedestrian-level lighting, enhanced landscaping and a plaza at Dale and Breddell avenues.
Sounds nice, but if you’re headed to the Heights, watch out for those stop signs. I hear they’re being enforced.
Enforcing 25 MPH as well as additional stop signs.
