By email to 40 South, a Brentwood resident reported a house fire in the area of Eulalie Avenue by Broughton Park Tuesday morning:

“Not sure what is going on on Eulalie by Broughton park. Crime scene tape, police, fire etc. My daughters said that they brought out three different objects wrapped in blankets and put in the trunk of a police car. Possibly dogs.

“Just found out it was a kitchen fire. No one hurt but three dogs died.”

  1. Very sad for anyone to lose their little guys. I’ve been walking by that house for years listening to those little guys bark like crazy at me and my dog. While I don’t know their owners, it breaks my heart to know how much they must be grieving now.

  2. The dogs were not put in the trunk of a police car. It was a regular car driven by a person in regular clothes.

    • Also one dog was under a sheet on the sidewalk after they had tried c.p.r. Another dog was given oxygen before it died and the third they had a hard time finding. The owner can home to find the kitchen on fire.
