Southwest Avenue heading east from Maplewood was closed for almost a year, beginning April 2015, for MSD to trench and install large storm sewer pipes. It reopened in March but was rough following the work by MSD. The city of St. Louis has now laid asphalt, smoothing the way.
St. Louis Ward 24 Alderman Scott Ogilvie said on Twitter, “Rarely has asphalt been this eagerly anticipated.”

Now how about finishing up Bellevue
Is there any intention to paint a bike lane on the new pavement? It seems like a great opportunity to do it.
