Eater Magazine names Strange Donuts one of America’s hottest doughnut shops

Rarely is there not a line at Strange Donuts, and many times it’s out the door.

Now, after being open just more than a month, Maplewood’s Strange Donuts is making waves beyond St. Louis—Eater Magazine named it one of “The 18 Hottest Doughnut Shops in America Right Now.”

The next closest honored shops are in Chicago, Minneapolis and Dallas.

Get strange at Strange Donuts with three varieties of doughnuts: Classics (glazed, General Custard, Rainbow pony…), Creations (Gooey butter, Campfire, Fat Elvis…) or a Stranger; on Thursday, Friday or Saturday night.

This week’s Stranger is a “yeast donut stuffed with hog burger, topped with maple glaze, caramelized onions and pimento cheese whiz,” according to Strange Donut’s Facebook page.
