Urban Breath Yoga (@urbanbreathyoga) closed its Dogtown studio on Dec. 26, and is opening at 2810 Sutton Boulevard on Jan. 3. Owner, Kathleen Williams said Urban Breath has been in business 10 years, and 40 classes a week will come to the studio from the former Dogtown location.
The space has been divided into separate studios, a kitchen and men’s and women’s locker facilities. The studio space at the front has had a cork floor installed.
The building also houses the Sierra Club, Spirited Hands Art, Bolyard’s Meat & Provisions and Living Room coffee house. Developer, David Schlafly bought the building in early 2014. He held a contest to name the complex in July, but hasn’t announced the winner yet.
Urban Breath will hold an open house Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., including a free yoga class from 4 to 5 p.m. Regular classes will begin on Saturday.
