At around 11 a.m. on Sunday a fire at an apartment building the 7300 block of Maple Avenue brought several agencies to the intersection at Sutton Boulevard.
Maplewood Fire Chief Peter Marsac, on the scene, said everyone got out of the building safely.
Sunday evening as the building was being boarded up a city employee said a cause hasn’t been declared, though it has been determined that it wasn’t intentionally set.
He also said all residents of the apartment building had somewhere to go for the evening. The Red Cross took care of those who needed help.
Please keep the community posted as to how we can help. These things can take so long to be resolved, and it’s awful to be displaced even if temporarily and especially when kids are involved. Hopefully the appropriate agency/agencies can take the lead and folks can pitch in with support!
Thanks, Doug!
