An Einstein Bros. restaurant is scheduled to open in four to six weeks at 1912 Brentwood Boulevard, where Applegate’s and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit have done business. That’s according to Mike Patel, who manages the businesses in the building.

Patel told 40 South News on Dec. 28 that an Einstein Bros. would be replacing Applegate’s. On Dec. 30 a car left the road and ran into the front entrance, and it’s been boarded up since then. Patel said the accident put the Einstein Bros. behind schedule.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will stay, according to Patel.

  1. I left a message for the owner yesterday. It came up today in the coffee with the mayor, and he just guessed it could be an insurance issue holding them up.
