With 8-10 inches of snow predicted followed by sub-zero temperatures on Sunday and Monday. Brentwood and Maplewood stores that sell staples were very busy all Saturday.

Shoppers were walking out of Aldi stocked up with milk, peanut butter, eggs, wine, whatever they’d need for the coming days.

An Aldi employee said Saturday was the craziest day she had ever seen at any store she had ever worked at. She said she had pushed everything out, and hoped more would be delivered that night.

A shopper at Walmart at Maplewood Commons said it looked like the day before Christmas, with the crowds and lines.

Circle K in Brentwood was sold out of gas early Saturday evening and QuikTrip customers waited 2-3 deep in line.
