Maplewood Public Library posts its public events on the 40 South calendar, seen on the home page. The library has three Christmas/holiday-related events this week: music, food and St. Louis traditions.

From the calendar, posted by the library:

An evening of holiday music, Monday at 7:15 pm
Join Brad Ellebrecht and Wendy Gordon as they perform a variety of holiday classics and jazz favorites. You are sure to enjoy their creative, artistic approach.

Healthy for the holidays, Tuesday at 6:30
Looking for ways to stay healthy AND enjoy your favorite foods this holiday season? Join Amy Bell and Patty Nonnie of Saint Louis University’s Department of Nutrition and Dietetics for a live cooking demonstration of quick, delicious, and nutritious recipes featuring local wintertime ingredients.

Christmas in St. Louis, Thursday at 6:30pm
Christmas in St. Louis is a special time in a special place. As you’ll discover in the pages of this festive pictorial book, the Gateway City goes all-out to celebrate the season. Reminisce about the downtown St. Louis windows, international flavor of Main Street St. Charles, residential light displays of St. Louis Hills, Tilles Park, the drive through Our Lady of the snows, and a myriad of other traditions that have come to define a St. Louis Christmas.
