The Brentwood Historical Society recently posted that two Brentwood have been demolished.

The house at 8722 Eulalie Avenue was torn down last week.  It was built in 1920, according to county records.

The developer went through multiple Architectural Review Board meetings before his plan for an infill house was OK’d. Eventually the front of the garage was pushed back to better meet with the rest of the house.

The house at 8143 Manchester Road was torn down last week, the Brentwood Historical Society also reported. It was built in 1921. It had been vacant since August 2, 2011, when the resident died.

Brentwood building official Steve Larson said the house had asbestos siding, and called it a “problem property,” along with others on Manchester, which have also been demolished, including the former Teson Farms and the Colt Manufacturing buildings. He said the Colt building looked fine from the front, but the majority of the building, including the roof, was in bad shape.
