Maplewood’s Kakao Chocolate, for the second year in a row, has won the prestigious Good Food Award, in San Francisco.
Feast Magazine reported that Kakao’s Turkish coffee truffle won the award this year. The coffee for the treat came from Stringbean Coffee, also of St. Louis. Kakao won the award last year with its lavender truffle.
The winners were chosen from among 1,462 entrants from across the U.S. Each entry had to meet Good Food’s authenticity, responsibility and sustainability requirements.
